A Message from Deirdre Imus, December 2007

Dear Friends,
All of us at The Deirdre Imus Environmental Center for Pediatric Oncology® wish you and yours a healthy and peaceful holiday season. As we celebrate friends and family, we are grateful to all of you who have made this past year such a success.
We thank all our Greening the Cleaning® clients, who further our mission and spread the word about the power of healthier cleaning. It is all of you who helped propel Green This! Volume One: Greening Your Cleaning® to The New York Times Bestseller List and who have paved the way for my second book in the series, Green This! Volume Two: Growing Up Green, to debut in 2008. We also want to thank the volunteers at our Center who assist with so much of our work.
As we look to the New Year, we see opportunities to make our environment safer for our children, and in turn, all of us. We look to legislation, speaking engagements, conferences, research, and other opportunities to collaborate with parents and environmental health experts across the country. Together we can further our mission of education, outreach and research for children’s health.
May the New Year also bring you opportunities to speak out for our children. After all, they cannot speak for themselves. We thank you for being with us on this critical – and rewarding – journey.
For the health of our children,
My best,
Deirdre Imus
