HackensackUMC is proud to announce that more than $60,320 was raised for the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital from a recent drawing in which a 2012 MINI Cooper from Prestige BMW in Ramsey was donated and raffled off to one lucky winner.  The winner of the MINI Cooper is Sean McErlean of Cedar Grove.

“I hope this call makes your weekend,” said Robert C. Garrett, HackensackUMC president and chief executive officer as he called the winner on Friday, June 8.  This event marked the first of its kind, in which a car was raffled to benefit the Audrey Hepburn Children’s House at HackensackUMC. The MINI Cooper is valued at $23,550.

“HackensackUMC is grateful to Prestige BMW for its generous donation of a MINI Cooper to help us with our fundraising efforts,” said Robert C. Garrett, president and chief executive officer, HackensackUMC.  “Because of companies like Prestige BMW, we are able to support various programs throughout HackensackUMC.”

The Audrey Hepburn Children’s House, which recently celebrated its 10thanniversary, is a state-designated Regional Diagnostic Center for Child Abuse and Neglect, which treats more than 7,000 children annually.  The mission is to ensure the safety, health and well-being of infants, children and adolescents through assessment, intervention and prevention of child abuse and neglect.  The professional staff, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, social workers and child-life specialists have clinical expertise in all areas of child maltreatment and provide comprehensive care for both the child and their family.  A multidisciplinary approach to the investigation, diagnosis and treatment of child abuse is utilized through collaborations with community agencies that service child victims and their families.
