This guacamole is super easy to make. Instead of chopping up all the peppers, onions, and chilies that are used in most guacamole recipes, we begin with our own Imus Ranch South West Salsa. We love our salsa, but you can use any brand you prefer. To prevent darkening, squeeze some fresh lemon juice over the top of the guacamole before covering and refrigerating.
Preparation Time-8 Minutes
Ingredients:
4 Ripe Avocados, peeled and seeded
3 Tablespoons fresh lemon or lime juice
4 Cloves garlic, minced
1/2 Cup salsa
1 Tablespoon chopped cilantro
Salt, to taste
Combine the avocados, juice and garlic in a medium bowl: mash with back of fork or potato masher. Add the salsa, cilantro and salt. Mix well to blend flavors. Cover and transfer to refrigerator. Serve cold.
Makes 4 cups
