DAVID BLAINE WORKS MAGIC ON PATIENTS AT THE JOSEPH M. SANZARI CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

November 9, 2009 09:20 AM

World renowned illusionist and magician, David Blaine, made a special appearance to visit patients at The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC). Mr. Blaine went room-to-room with a deck of cards, performing tricks that left lasting bewilderment and amusement on the faces of his young audience. He involved the children in each of the tricks, and prior to leaving each room, he autographed a card of their choice and gave it to them. Mr. Blaine additionally performed several card tricks for children at a gift-giving holiday party hosted by HUMC’s Child Life Services at the children’s hospital. Pictured from left are Owen Segaloff, 8, of Tenafly, and his sister Arden Segaloff, 4, a patient at HUMC, as they stare in disbelief at a card given to them by magician David Blaine, right.
