Diabetes Meds Are Infecting Genitals With Flesh-Eating Bacteria

The infection, called Fournier's gangrene, occurs in the genital area of men and women. The bacteria usually enter the body through a cut and quickly spread. A diagnosis of diabetes is a risk factor for developing Fournier's gangrene.
