Disturbing Link Found Between Opioid Overdose Deaths And Big Pharma Gifts to Doctors

It's long been known that drug company payments to doctors influence how many opioid prescriptions they write. But a study released Friday offers the first suggestion they also may be linked to overdose tolls in their communities. Aggressive marketing of prescription narcotics over the past 20 years has been widely blamed for the staggering death toll of the opioid epidemic.
