Eleven HackensackUMC Dentists Included in New Jersey Monthly’s Annual ‘Top Dentists 2012’

Hackensack University Medical Center is proud to announce that 11 of its affiliated dentists were listed in the latest edition of New Jersey Monthly’s “Top Dentists 2012” in six different specialties. The magazine’s list includes a new high of 364 dentists in nine specialties throughout New Jersey.

Garrett, president and chief executive officer of Hackensack University Health Network. “We regard ourselves in the highest-quality of patient care and research, and there is no exception when it comes to dentistry.  This is a true testament to our medical center’s commitment to recruiting and retaining the best possible dental providers.” 

                New Jersey Monthly’s“Top Dentists 2012” is a non-ranking list of the top dentists in the state. It is a peer-nominated list, but the magazine’s Professional Advisory Board can also choose dentists.  The list details information on more than 364 dentists in nine specialties. A one-page questionnaire was mailed to all 6,426 New Jersey-based dentists who have been licensed in the state for at least five years (but less than 50 years).  After checking for duplication, a total of 1,452 ballots were accepted.  Once all eligible ballots were tallied, dentists with sufficient votes were placed on a preliminary list.  The preliminary list was submitted for professional review by an advisory board of 15 dentists.  The dentists on the advisory board were chosen from among the top-voted in last year’s survey.
