Freedom to Dissent and the New Blacklist in America

The legal right to dissent has been a hallmark of freedom in America. Unlike in authoritarian governments,  in our country, citizens have the right and responsibility to participate in the law making process. We have - or should have - the freedom to openly debate government policy, law and ethics in public forums and dissent from the majority without fear of intimidation or punishment.
