Bonnie's Bowtie Broccoli Pasta

For a quick and easy meal try this delicious pasta dish.






½      Pound (or half box) of organic bowtie pasta
4-5    Large organic broccoli florets (heads)
1       Medium chopped organic garlic head (with all the cloves)
2       Tablespoons of Extra virgin olive oil
½      Cup shredded or grated Pecorino Romano cheese (you can use              your favorite Parmesan too)
Salt / Pepper to taste



Bring slightly salted water to boil
Add pasta – 8-10 minutes (al dente – firm-not soft)


Keep ½ cup of pasta water on the side before you drain pasta
Keep drained pasta in pot you boiled it in (it mixes better)

In sauté pan, add oil, garlic, broccoli – sauté – 5 minutes
Add pasta water, mix and cover on low for 10 minutes
Add the sauté to the pasta, mix in cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
You can add walnuts, pine nuts, cherry tomatoes too.

Serve warm or cold (next day)
