February 7, 2020-Governor Cumo Signs Legislation to Protect Childrens Health with Stricter regulations on Children's Products Containing Harmful Chemicals
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today signed legislation (S.501B / A.6296A) to protect children's health by better regulating the use of chemicals in children's products. The bill requires manufacturers to disclose the use of chemicals in children's products and requires the Department of Environmental Conservation to make this information public to consumers.

As of 2020, all but 1 state (Tennessee) has passed insurance reform laws that require insurance coverage for autism screening, diagnosis, and care. New Jersey enacted its Autism Coverage Act in 2009, which was updated in 2015 to remove the age cap and visit limit for autism treatment.

School Environment Protection Act
To amend the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act to require local educational agencies and schools to implement integrated pest management programs to minimize the use of pesticides in schools and to provide parents, guardians, and employees with notice of the use of pesticides in schools, and for other purposes.
