Dreamy Banana Dark Chocolate Chip Pancakes
By Rebecca DeSimone
Come on who doesn't love Pancakes? We all have a special place in our heart for pancakes, but sadly they aren't always the healthiest option. Normally pancakes are packed with lots of unhealthy & processed ingredients. These pancakes are a total game changer, not only are they delicious but they are healthy too! Now you can always feel guilt-free to eat pancakes whenever your heart desires. Say what? Wait it gets better, they are gluten free, dairy-free, oil free, free of added sugars, packed with protein, & fiber. Be prepared to have your mind and taste buds blown!
I recommend using all organic non GMO ingredients.
What you'll need
Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups of oatmeal
1 Cup almond milk ( or whatever non dairy milk you prefer such as cashew, soy, coconut milk, etc.)
1 Banana
Add ins(optional, feel free to add in whatever you want to your pancakes such as blueberries, raspberries, etc. I chose dark chocolate chips.)
3 Tablespoons of dark chocolate chips or semi-sweet
Toppings ( optional, feel free to add whatever you want)
-
100% Pure Maple Syrup
-
Sliced Banana
-
Dark chocolate chips
How to make your pancakes
You’re going to need a blender for this recipe so there is absolutely no mess, stress, or bowls involved.
-
Blend 1 1/2 cup oats in the blender until it becomes a thin flour consistency ( the oats will be replacing the flour in this recipe as a healthy gluten free option)
-
Add your banana and a cup of almond milk (or your other milk of choice) and then BLEND! Now you should have a thick pancake like consistency, once you do you're ready to add in toppings.
-
Stir in dark chocolate chips or your toppings of choice
-
Spray a pan with non-stick oil and pour the batter onto the pan
-
Once the pancakes have started to form bubbles that means they are ready to be flipped.
-
Now place them on your plate & add on your toppings and you have yourself DELICIOUS & HEALTHY PANCAKES. Enjoy!
