September 2016 Vol. 11/No. 3

Dear Friends,
As we kick off the start to fall, we send thanks for your support over the years, helping us to continue our mission of protecting children’s health and the environment.
We’re thrilled to be recognized for our sustainability efforts for three years in a row! Practice Greenhealth’s Top 25 Environmental Excellence Award recognizes health care facilities that exemplify environmental excellence and are setting the highest standards for environmental practices in health care.
As we continue our mission of sustainability, integrative pediatrician Dr. Rosen and I write about the changes in children’s health over the last decade, and what we can do about it. We can each change one thing, and we hope this article in the journal Explore will inspire you to find one positive change to make for our kids’ health. As always, our website is brimming with ideas and we’re looking forward to hearing yours.
In this issue, we highlight the great work of our partner organization the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI), a not-for-profit agency. They offer comprehensive vision rehabilitation, employment and technology services personally tailored to people with visual impairments. CABVI is making a remarkable difference with kids with their Camp Abilities program.
Wishing you good health,
Deirdre Imus
