Dear Friends,

With summer comes days of relaxation and vacation for kids young and old.  This month Dr. Rosen helps parents create a natural first aid kit to help families through inevitable bumps, scrapes and bruises.  Holistic Nurse Maureen McDonnell gives us another dose of whole-body health in Loving Your Liver, with tips on how to help you and your loved ones achieve your best health.

If this summer has your family staying close to home, our feature on paint offers key resources for healthier options to update your space.  And venture to the kitchen with our healthy recipes, including party-ready favorites. Also in this issue, we celebrate our colleagues at Hackensack University Medical Center for helping make our campus even greener for patients and staff, a momentum we hope will spread to other facilities and schools around the country.

This summer as always, we strive to provide practical tips and tools to make this season the healthiest yet for your family.

Wishing you wellness,

Deirdre Imus
