HackensackUMC, in partnership with the National Organization of Healing the Children, recently welcomed 13-year old patient, Camille De Leon, from Panama to seek treatment for what is likely an unidentified autoimmune disease.

HackensackUMC, in partnership with the National Organization of Healing the Children, recently welcomed 13-year old patient, Camille De Leon. She was flown to New Jersey from Panama with her mother, Ruth Miriam de De Leon, a couple of weeks ago to seek treatment for what is likely an unidentified autoimmune disease.
Physicians at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital have begun discussing treatment plans and options under the leadership of Jeffrey R. Boscamp, M.D., Marvin I. Gottlieb, M.D. chair in Pediatrics, physician-in-chief, Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital.
For more than 30 years, Healing the Children’s mission has been to provide medical care to children in need throughout the world, helping 7,200 children from 110 countries.
Together, the two organizations hope to identify Camille’s illness and plan a successful course of treatment.
