HackensackUMC Chief of Pediatric Cardiology Presenting At Second Annual Sports Cardiology Summit

Robert J. Tozzi, M.D., F.A.A.P., F.A.C.C. chief of Pediatric Cardiology at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at Hackensack University Medical Center, will be presenting at the 2nd Annual Sports Cardiology Summit, put on by the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Tozzi will be giving a case presentation on a 25-year-old Professional Soccer Player with Abnormal Preparticipation ECG. The Summit will be held on October 4th and 5th at the Intercontinental Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, and Dr Tozzi’s presentation will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 10 a.m.
During the one-and-a-half day course, attendees will engage in discussions with expert faculty who will debate and present relevant case studies and up-to-date findings on cardiovascular care for athletes. Course topics include pre-participation CVD screening, epidemiology of sudden death, syncope in athletes and exercise prescription.
