HackensackUMC’s Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital Announces New Collaboration with the NYU Langone Medical Center’s Division of Pediatric Surgery.

The Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital and Department of Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center is proud to announce its new collaboration with the NYU Langone Medical Center’s Division of Pediatric Surgery.

Garrett, president and chief executive officer of HackensackUMC. “Both medical centers have award-winning reputations in providing superior patient care, and this collaboration will strengthen and fortify our Department of Pediatrics/Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital.”
A team of three physicians from NYU Langone Medical Center’s Division of Pediatric Surgery will join an advanced practice nurse and a pediatric surgeon from Hackensack UMC’s pediatric surgery team to provide the highest quality of surgical care to patients. The NYU Langone Medical Center team is led by Howard B. Ginsburg, M.D., the division chief of Pediatric Surgery and a nationally-renown pediatric surgeon. Other physicians include: Keith A. Kuenzler, M.D., the newly-appointed surgeon-in-chief at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC and an assistant professor at NYU Langone Medical Center; Sandra Tomita, M.D., associate professor of Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine; and Victor Valda, M.D., pediatric surgeon affiliated with HackensackUMC. Luciana D. Roman R.N., MSN, APN, CCRN is the advanced practice nurse with the Pediatric Surgery practice.
