Kyrgyzstan to Switch to 100 Percent Organic Agriculture

Kyrgyzstan Parliament just announced its 10-year plan to phase out all non-organic farming and switch to 100 percent organic agriculture. The country that relies heavily on its agriculture has put the final nail in the coffin of Big GMO.  Dastanbek Djumabekov, the Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyzstan’s Parliament), has directed the government to implement the 100% organic agricultural plan over the next 10 years. The country plans to only use natural fertilizers in the future.  Kyrgyzstan is only the second country in the entire world to implement a 100% organic agriculture plan.
