The Hackensack Police Department recently hosted its annual “America’s Night Out Against Crime” at Foschini Park in Hackensack. Hackensack University Medical Center’s Department of Security once again participated in this program aimed at heightening awareness of crime and drug prevention, and strengthening neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships. The night included safety displays, bomb squad and canine unit demonstrations, food and entertainment. Children were also taught how to escape a fire with a fake firehouse. Every year, this program is held in thousands of communities throughout the country. Pictured from left are Tomas J.
