Use these crunchy sweet pecans on salads, with desserts, or on stir-fried veggies. You can use the same recipe to make glazed walnuts, as well.
Preparation Time: 3 min.
Ingredients:
2 Cups raw pecans
1/2 Cup maple syrup
1/4 Cup raw unrefined sugar
1 Tablespoon salt
Cook Time: 15 min.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spread the pecans on a baking sheet and toast until lightly browned and fragrant, 8-10 minutes. Remove them from the oven and set aside.
Heat the maple syrup and sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until boiling. Boil the mixture for 2 minutes, and then add the toasted pecans. Continue cooking, stirring to coat the pecans, about 30 seconds more. Spread the pecans into a baking sheet to cool. Sprinkle with salt.
Makes 2.5 cups
