Obesity ‘To Be Linked to More Female Cancers’ Than Smoking

If the numbers continue at the same rate they are now, obesity will overtake smoking as the No. 1 cause of female cancers by 2043, BBC reports. The numbers are especially grim because, like smoking, obesity is something you can avoid. Researchers noted that, while obesity is common among men, too, it seems to be a greater driver in female cancer risk. They also hinted that adult obesity begins in childhood, as being overweight as a child puts you at five times the risk of being overweight as an adult.  Read more...
