Hackensack University Medical Center offers opportunities for both patients and physicians through its clinical expertise in treatments for advanced heart failure patients.
The Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension Fellowship program focuses on the treatment of the end-stage heart failure patient. Clinical Cardiology Fellows are exposed to advanced treatment modalities for both inpatients and outpatients. The focus is on circulation management with the utilization of long-term continuous intravenous infusions, short and long term mechanical circulatory support and preparation of the patient for possible heart transplantation. Another unique aspect of the program is the treatment of patients with pulmonary hypertension and right heart failure. The Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension Fellowship provides outstanding quality of care for our patients and unmatched clinical fellowship exposure in a robust educational environment.
