A Commitment to Compassionate Care
At the Institute for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders, we understand the devastation that a diagnosis such as pediatric cancer can have on a family. Whether you are a patient or loved one, a referring physician or potential supporter, our award-winning team is prepared to deliver world-class care using the most advanced methods of treatment in an environment designed especially for our pediatric patients and their families.
The Institute for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders is a comprehensive program for children, adolescents and young adults (until age 22), that offers patients a multidisciplinary approach to treat all types of cancer and blood diseases. Our Blood and Marrow Transplant Program is the only pediatric stem cell transplant program in the state of New Jersey, and our physicians and medical staff are some of the most prominent providers in their field. Our dedicated research team gives our patients access to more than 100 cutting-edge clinical trials.
But above all, what sets the Institute for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders apart is our commitment to compassionate, personalized care. From diagnosis to treatment, and beyond – we are there for patients and their families every step of the way. In fact, we are home to the first and most comprehensive off-campus program for childhood cancer survivors in the state. The entire team of leading physicians, nurses and psychosocial staff members work together to make sure that every patient is provided the highest level of care in the most comfortable setting possible.
Since its establishment in 1987, the Institute for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders at HackensackUMC (formerly The Tomorrows Childrens Institute) has grown to be New Jersey's premier pediatric center for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders.
