One of the exciting projects that Jo is currently working on is creation of a nursing curriculum to be used for PBM nursing certification. This certification will be the first of its kind and will offer a way for those nurses in the field to achieve recognition of their expertise.
Jo considers it a privilege to champion the rights of patients who refuse blood transfusions and is passionate about not only patient advocacy but also developing new clinical non-blood management strategies through scientific research.
