About Us:

The Department of Neurosurgery at Hackensack University Medical Center is a leader in the provision of care to patients with conditions of the brain, spine, and nervous system. In combination with our state of the art technology, our skilled physicians offer expertise in the consultation, diagnosis, and treatment within all the neurosurgical sub-specialties.  Our care blends high-end technology with the compassion and personal touch that each individual patient deserves.

We strive to provide each patient with a comprehensive evaluation and treatment plan often utilizing conservative care when appropriate.  In addition to traditional surgery, we perform minimally invasive surgery as well as non-surgical, interventional procedures.  We are a multi-disciplinary group of specialized physicians; a dedicated team in the operating room with specialized training in neurosurgery; residents; advanced practice nurses; physician assistants; physical/occupational/speech therapists; and social workers that work together as a team.  Physicians from this team were listed in US News Top Doctors List in Neurosurgery and our department was listed as one of the Best Departments in US News & World Reports Best Hospital Issue.  Additionally, our department is the proud recipient of the following Healthgrades honors:
