Regularly eating ultra-processed foods such as bacon, sausages, cakes, chips and ready meals 'raises your risk of developing type 2 diabetes by 15%'

People who regularly eat ultra-processed foods such as sausages and bacon are more likely to develop type 2 diabetes, a study has found. Processed foods are known to make people gain weight, and being overweight is one of the biggest risk factors for developing the condition. But the new research, based on more than 100,000 people, suggests chemicals created or added to food during processing could also play a role.  Read more.....
