Smartphones have driven hospital admissions for stress and anxiety to rise by 37% in the past decade as people never 'switch off'

Hospital admissions for stress and anxiety have risen by more than a quarter in the past decade, NHS figures show.  Statistics reveal almost 15,000 cases were admitted in 2017/18 - up from just 11,500 in 2007/08.  The steepest rise was among white collar workers, with a 37 per cent increase in the number of admissions for stress and anxiety over ten years.  Read more...
