Smoke or Vape? Nicotine use lowers immunity, so there’s no better time to QUIT than right now, during the coronavirus pandemic

Right now, there are 35 million smokers and 15 million vape enthusiasts in the United States alone who are dependent on the world’s third-most addictive drug every hour of every day. At least half have tried to quit, but nicotine drags them back in like an undertow in the ocean after a hurricane. Even though the actual physical nicotine addiction can be broken in just three to four days, the habit, with all its rituals, is one of the toughest chains to break in this world. But then, coronavirus. COVID-19 is wiping out mainly humans with compromised immune systems. This includes people fighting cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and yes, nicotine. It’s not just the elderly dying, but people who already have chronic respiratory issues, diseases and disorders, including emphysema, asthma and COPD.
