Greening The Cleaning® program: Green Cleaning with Meaning

Through our Greening The Cleaning® program we help all types of building occupants better understand the connection between health and the environment. The effects of indoor air pollutants range from short-term effects – eye and throat irritation – to long-term effects – respiratory disease and cancer. The easiest way to improve any indoor air environment is to minimize the amount of toxic chemicals in products that are used. We also encourage and collaborate with teachers, students, facility managers and families to find ways to implement more sustainable practices where they work, learn, live and play.

Greening The Cleaning® products are distributed and sold by the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI).Founded in 1929, the Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI), a not-for-profit organization, provides comprehensive rehabilitation programs to people who are blind or visually impaired in upstate New York.

We recently implemented a new tag line, Green Cleaning with Meaning as part of our GTC® logo to create further brand differentiation.  Simply choosing GTC® products creates meaningful employment opportunities at The Central Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) and supports environmental health research and education at the Center.
