THE MOLLY DIABETES EDUCATION/MANAGEMENT CENTER FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN TO HOST THE 14TH ANNUAL ‘DIABETES FIRST’ SEMINAR

The MOLLY Diabetes Education/Management Center for Adults and Children at Hackensack University Medical Center will host its 14th Annual “Diabetes First” Seminar titled, “The Balance of Life with Diabetes.” This free informational seminar will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Hekemian Conference Center Auditorium, 30 Prospect Avenue, in Hackensack.
Joseph Giangola, M.D., chief of Diabetes in the Division of Diabetes in the Department of Internal Medicine at Hackensack University Medical Center and medical director of the MOLLY Diabetes Center, will lead the seminar and provide the audience with the most recent available information to assist in coping with diabetes management. Educational displays will also be available.
Other healthcare professionals will present at the seminar, including John Latimer, director of Programs at Camp Nejeda, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with diabetes and their families by providing a fun and educational camping experience in a safe environment, and will discuss the topic, “Transitioning with Diabetes.” Bill King, a diabetes advocate, insulin pump wearer, marathon runner and national speaker for Animas Corporation, will give the keynote address.
