‘Unprecedented’ rising air temperatures and rainfall in the Arctic is causing more severe storms and cold snaps across the planet, experts say

Severe and erratic weather patterns across the world could be down to increasing air temperatures in the Arctic, according to new research.  More intense storms and cold snaps in northwestern Europe could be caused by the North pole warming faster than anywhere else in the world.  This change, along with greater rainfall in the region, is causing physical changes like ocean circulation which are destabilising a wide variety of localised weather effects across the world.  Read more....
