Warning: The Chemical In Your Coffee That May Cause Cancer

A chemical that may be in your coffee may cause cancer? Exactly. Studies have shown that acrylamide can cause several types of cancer in rats. The body converts acrylamide to glycidamide, which, in turn, can damage DNA. As the National Cancer Institute website explains, the National Toxicology Program’s Report on Carcinogens "considers acrylamide to be reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen," based on the rodent evidence.  Read more...
