Last year, organic food sales in the U.S. reached a record $47 billion, accounting for 5 percent of total food sales, but as organic standards are being devalued, the need for more biodynamic farming becomes more pressing than ever to ensure food quality and environmental protection. Many organic pioneers are now threatening to opt out of USDA organic certification.
